Alan Simpson
Vice President of Policy, Common Sense Media
Alan Simpson is vice president of policy for Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the media lives of kids and families. Simpson has a long background in public policy and public affairs, including advocating for children and education issues, as working in media organizations.
Prior to joining Common Sense Media, Simpson was the senior director for marketing and communications at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Simpson also worked at Voices for Illinois Children in Chicago, and at National Public Radio (NPR) and the Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN) in Washington, DC.
