Vint Cerf, a Founding Father of the Internet, to Address Congressional Internet Caucus and Members of Congress on the Opportunities Facing the Internet on Capitol Hill
Who: Vint Cerf, One of the fathers of the Internet and Vice President, MCI WorldCom, will address the Congressional Internet Caucus as part of the Caucus' Speakers Series. Mr. Cerf will address Members and staff as part of the educational mission of the Internet Caucus to assure informed decision-making.

About Vint Cerf: Vinton G. Cerf is senior vice president of Internet Architecture and Technology for MCI WorldCom. Cerf's team of architects and engineers design advanced Internet frameworks for delivering a combination of data, information, voice and video services for business and consumer use. Widely known as a "Father of the Internet," Dr. Cerf and his partner, Dr. Robert E. Kahn, co-designed the TCP/IP Internet protocol and the architecture of the Internet. In December 1997, President Clinton presented the U.S. National Medal of Technology to Cerf and Kahn, for founding and developing the Internet.
About the Internet Caucus Speakers Series: The Internet Caucus Speaker Series is a platform on Capitol Hill for Internet leaders, CEO's, visionaries and Internet architects to address Congressional policymakers and stress the importance, uniqueness and promise of the Internet. The series is hosted by the Internet Caucus Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Internet Caucus Co-Chairs -- Senators Burns and Leahy and Representatives Goodlatte and Boucher.
