On Wednesday, April 28 2004 Congressman Mike Honda, Wireless Task Force Co-Chair, participated in the launch of an open, public Wi-Fi hotspot on Capitol Hill. The Wi-Fi Hotspot was launched by the Open Park project, a non-profit initiative to bring Wi-Fi or 802.11 Internet access to the National Mall. At the launch, which was held on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court building, Congressman Honda applauded the initiative. Below are more links about Congressman and the initiative.
